Corporate Wellness Program Studies show that worksite health promotion programs can lead to increased productivity and decreased health costs. However, it is difficult to quantify and make predictions about how these programs may impact costs when extrapolated over time. Results have estimated that as much as $5.82 to $2.01 has been saved on absenteeism and medical costs for every $1 spent on health promotion and disease management programs. The Wellness Train can design and implement a wellness program tailored to meet the unique needs of a company's employees. Components include:
- Analysis of worksite environment and "health culture" of the company.
- Seminars and workshops on a variety of health-related topics, such as nutrition, implementing physical activity into your daily life, stress reduction and disease prevention.
- Health Assessment and Wellness Surveys
- On-site health screenings coordinated via their health insurance carrier or a third party.
- Assistance in creating a wellness library or information center for employees.
- Daily or weekly wellness tips.
- One-on-one "health chats".
- Aiding in implementation of employee wellness challenges
We are here to tailor our program to meet your unique needs. Please contact us for more information.
Train's Daily Dose
Dose for September 5
Organize with family or friends a triathlon but this doesn’t have to be a swim, bike and run type of triathlon. Decide as a group three activities to include as part of your day but at least two have to involve being active. So for example, it might be bowling, batting cages and seeing a movie, or arcade, roller-skating and driving range, or a hike, preparing a meal together and watching a movie at home. If successful, consider organizing unique triathlons monthly.
Athletic Performance
Developing a foundation and implementing proper training methods into sport practices can help to decrease the incidence of injuries, as well as improve performance. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and experience as a Sport Performance Coach, The Wellness Train can meet all your needs.
